The MEDA MENTOR PROGRAM is a forum for experts in Business, Academia, and Professional trades as well as persons of outstanding character and achievement to support younger Moghamoans interested in their area of achievement. This program covers a) Academic and professional mentoring and b) Life abroad mentoring

a) Academic and Professional Mentoring: The Academic and professional Mentoring program brings together Moghamo experts all over the world and younger Moghamoans at home and abroad interested in their field of work. Mentors and pupils are matched as closely as possible, based on backgrounds and interests. Mentors volunteer their time to coach, guide and motivate pupils on a one to one basis, according to a schedule that they decide. This program is invaluable in helping pupils make the right career choices, have on-going support, and have role models. Mentors may even go as far as

Exposing them to a professional work environment through internships.
Teaching them effective “on the job” technical and interpersonal skills.
Providing them with information and preparation for possible career paths.

Communication between Pupils and Mentors will mostly take place independent of the Mentor Program by email, phone, fax, postal mail or in person. However, the Program monitors existing mentoring relationships, providing support and taking stock of successes.

b)Life Abroad mentoring
Living abroad involves adapting to new cultures, food, practices, legal systems, environments and financial practices. The easiest way to overcome the challenges of moving to a new area is by having someone who has first hand experience of the area. Who knows the minute details about child care, shopping, job search, accomodation etc of that area and who is willing to walk you throu on a one to one basis.
The Life abroad program therefore links Moghamoans moving or seeking to move to another area with another Moghamoan who can help them in their transition and on arrival. This includes advice on places to live, shop, etc, Local immigration, social and legal issues.
